14. Quote, Paraphrase, Citation

“It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if you tell kids they're stupid--directly or indirectly--sooner or later they start to believe it.”

The quote is saying no matter how much you say it , either to the student or pharse it a different way, you are calling the student stupid and one they are just going to believe it and not even try to do good because of the fact that they think they're stupid.
